What should everybody know about the Czech Republic?
It’s a diverse country, unique by its location in the middle of Europe, which makes it the crossroad between vivid south and rational north, east and west.
Why are you interested in sustainability and green architecture or sustainable power supply?
In today’s hurried technological age it is a natural way to once again draw nearer to human values and the interconnection with our environment.
What about the AIR House do you like the most?
The sun deck with an integrated garden.
Your favorite building in the Czech Republic?
I don’t have a truly favorite building, but certain unique complexes come to mind such as an industrial complex at the low-end of Vítkovice in Ostrava, that will hopefully live to see a regeneration soon; Machoninov buildings for their design courage and originality in whole and in every detail, and an elegant transmission tower with a hotel at Ještěd from Karel Hubáček.
